So the latest version of the iPhone operating system has new been released to developers, iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4, but what new goodness comes inside this latest update from the Apple camp?
Well according to an article over on Gizmodo by Rosa Golijan, not a great deal. There is of course the option for tethering on AT&T which we posted about earlier and can be read (here), but what else?
iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4 brings a different default homescreen with only a few apps on the homescreen when you fire up your iPhone rather than all your apps showing up, the compass, voice memo, clock, and calculator apps are now sitting in a utilities folder.
There are now some new default wallpapers as well and aside from those there is apparently the option to toggle off the ability to send group messages. There is also a small change to the Photo application which now enables viewing the Photo Roll in a different orientation as long as you don’t have the Orientation Lock activated.
They do say that mostly all of the applications feel more responsive and faster and the odd silence when you answer a call has now apparently gone. That’s what’s new in iPhone Os 4.0 Beta 4 so far, but of course if you happen to come across anything else feel free to drop us a note in the comments area.
